Off to chain saw school..

No kidding!! Jesse had to enrolled in a chain saw class that is happening for two days this week. (He was not aware that he needed to be certified to operate a chain saw until recently. He has been using a chain saw here for many years...oops!) Anyway, nothing in Germany is ever simple. Not only do you have to pay for the classes but you need to buy a 215 Euro outfit in order to take the class. Jesse is like a kid with new toys with his new helmet (equipped with all sorts of gadgets), boots, overalls, gloves and jacket. He did a trial run of the outfit last night. I hope he can operate the thing with all his gear on. More pictures to come when he and his friend Peter are 'in uniform'. Hi ho, Hi ho, it's off to school we go!

Out with the old, in with the new...

Our landlord is having a new furnace installed this week. We cannot believe the size of the new boiler! Oh, well...we should never run out of hot water!
