Dear friends and family,
We have just about completed a very busy spring and summer!  As I write this, Jesse has finished his second and last Adventure Camp for the season.  We are excited about what God has done in and through ALL the camps this year.  Many hearts were touched and reached for His kingdom!  Please pray for these kids as many return to un-churched homes.  We are thankful for technology which enables us to stay in touch with them throughout the year.
Jesse and I will be returning to the US around the end of September/ 1st of October for one year. Let me explain.   A couple of years ago, our mission decided that we as missionaries (as in ALL missionaries at BFA) needed to be in compliance with a law that exists between the US and Germany, which states that in order to avoid extremely high taxes associated with German Social Security, all of us need to return to the US for one year every 5 years. So in obedience and compliance we have been cleared to do our year now.  At first we were quite discouraged and could not imagine leaving here for a year.  However, as we began to pray about it, God made it very clear to us that this was indeed His plan for us.  He very recently provided someone to sub-rent our place here(a rollercoaster ride!) and He has provided us a place in the Seattle area (close to our family) beginning in December.  As we get closer to our time of leaving, we are also very aware that we need this break and a time of rest and renewal.
Throughout the coming year we will continue to maintain our missionary status and be on support through our mission.  In October and November and again after the new year, we will be visiting churches, supporters, friends and family, strengthening our prayer and support base and also recruiting for ministry opportunities.  We covet your continued prayers and support as we embark upon this year. We cannot do this without you!!  We look forward to seeing many of you at a more relaxed pace than when we come for 3 months!  As soon as we have a schedule put together, we will let you know.
Thank you for your prayers as we continue to ready our apartment for a new family, (just a few days away) close off other things and prepare ourselves for this year away.  Right now, a year seems like a LONG time(especially for this mother hen!) but those who have already done their year assure us that it is a good thing to do, their supporters were behind them, they made new friends and gained new support and that the time does go by quickly!
Thanks again for standing with us and we look forward to seeing you soon!   If you wish, you can email us at:  jfrank@teachbeyond.org
Blessings!
